İmelda Kuyumcu
İmelda Kuyumcu explores the intersections of nature, technology, and human experience. In her work, she focuses on capturing traces of the natural world through digital technologies, while examining how our understanding of reality can be interpreted and transformed through the interaction between digital and physical objects.
The artist, who lives in Istanbul, completed her undergraduate education at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, and minored in Industrial Product Design at the same institution. In 2024, she received her master's degree in Painting from Marmara University Institute of Fine Arts.
Exhibitions she has participated in include: Young New Different '14, Zilberman Gallery (2024), Beyond Numbers, Barın Han (2024), d'Art, Santral Istanbul Energy Museum (2023), Soft Discipline, Alan Kadıköy (2023), Contemporary Artists, Gazhane Museum (2021), Akbank Art Contemporary Artists 38th Edition Akbank Art (2020). Workshops and artist-in-residence programs she has participated in include Baksı Museum Utopia Workshops (2024), Young Productions in the Digital Art Field at Istanbul Modern (2022), and the Pixel New Media Artist-in-Residence Program (2022).
