Aybüke Sanuç
Aybüke Sanuç is an Istanbul based artist. Lens-based approaches hold a distinct place in her practice. Drawing from the unpredictability and contradictions embedded in everyday encounters, she positions the camera as a tool that reveals the subject’s inner world. Working with experimental film formats and image manipulations, Sanuç focuses on objects that oscillate between contrast and harmony through various semiotic relationships.
She completed her BA in Philosophy at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and has worked within various cultural institutions and as an artist representative in galleries. Her writings have been published in magazines and independent platforms such as Art Unlimited, Bant Mag, and Pilotenkueche. She currently continues to develop her independent curatorial projects.
